COIDLink History Established as Workers Compensation Solutions (WorCS) in 1995, the company was appointed as an intermediary by the Compensation Fund to offer injury on duty claims processing services to medical service providers. This contract terminated after 5 years and the business was acquired by Alexander Forbes in 2001. The company name was changed to COIDLink (Pty) Ltd. Proprietary systems were built for medical claims administration and for reporting and billing in accordance with the legislative requirements. During this period the company started to provide a cash funded solution on a “discounted” basis. In 2010, COIDLink was acquired by Mgwali Financial Services, a 100% black owned investment holding company.
COIDLink Today COIDLink employs 51 staff members who deal exclusively with IOD patient accounts on a daily basis. Our operational staff is focused and comprises of dedi-cated claims administration and clerical staff. These include several former COID personnel who have brought their skills to COIDLink. The team is supported by a qualified management and experienced team. COIDLink’s operations and processing office is situated in Groenkloof very near to the CF office in Pretoria. This allows for direct interface with the Compensation Fund and information is therefore readily accessible. Personal consultations and contact with the Compensation Fund officials ensure that queries, problems and claims administration are dealt with quickly and efficiently. COIDLink deals with all IOD patient accounts no matter how long the accounts have been outstanding. We provide expert opinions on Compensation Fund related matters, procedures, regulations and circulars and keep your Practice updated about any changes to requirements. Our pre-adjudication of patient accounts ensures that your practice is kept informed at all times and made aware of any risks and potential repudiations. COIDLink’s effective processing ensures that patient accounts are settled more quickly than the industry norm. Our systems are custom designed and are therefore state of the art and unique to our business. They have been designed to meet the specific needs of our clients.
